Checklist:
Remove water tanks.
Clean inside the grey water tank.
Vacuum heater filter.
Wipe down all surfaces.
Check inside the lead-acid battery box for excess hair (If applicable).
Detailed Explanation:
Before removing the water tanks, take a picture of the connections for easier installation.
Make sure the fresh tank is as empty as possible, preferably 10 gallons or less, for safe removal.
One of the easiest ways to clean the inside of the grey tank is to use a pressure washer.
While the tanks are removed, inspect the back area where the heater is, including checking the coolant pump for any residue.
Wipe down all surfaces and vacuum the heater filter (but do not remove it).
To check the battery box, unhook the three latches (One in front and two on the side) and remove the top. Check for any residual hair on the batteries and the connections. Everything can be wiped down with a *dry* cloth. If any liquid is visible, it could be battery acid, so caution is advised. Use a cloth that can be disposed of afterward.
Routine checks of all areas of the conversion and vehicle helps to catch potential issues.
